I have a previous review, posted 3/4/15. I originally liked this pouch. Not so much any more. It was on a belt rig that I never used hard, or really much at all. In between then and now, this pouch spent several months sitting on its side with an empty mag in it, and a knife attached to the face. The retention bungee was off to the side, and not under tension. I got it out to shake the dust off and move it somewhere useful. I found that the grommet that the bungee ran through at the back interior of the pouch had been warped, and when I inspected it, the whole thing ripped off. The bungee pulled through, and there is now a hole in the back of the pouch where there should be a bungee. That totally sucks. The other components of the pouch are still as reviewed previously. Awesome, but not very useful. The unprotected hole would likely propagate under use, and the mag would not be retained by anything but the very tight walls of the pouch. I bought it on clearance, so it's not worth the trouble to replace it, but now my belt is lacking its most important component. Short version, I think I got the defective grommet in the 10,000. The nylon didn't even rip around it, really. The grommet just let go. That being said, I felt I had to amend my review, since the product catastrophically failed. This probably wouldn't get anyone killed if it failed, but this shouldn't happen. Still a big fan of TAG though!

Well built, but specific
This pouch does not have enough extra space to fit other types of magazine, but it does fit M4 type mags very securely. It does have lots of extra retention cord built into the back, so it would fit really long skinny mags, but probably not AK/308/etc. It is tough, and I mounted one to my battle belt, and then mounted a full sized combat knife to the outside of the pouch. Since I found a use for it, I do like the extra MOLLE, but I wish they sold a slick-front style too. Anyways, good pouch, very secure. Wouldn't mind a little more room, but it does its job well.

Different
The attachment system is cool, but sometimes the tab doesn't want to stuff under the loop at the bottom. Mags sit deep in this pouch so I would recommend using ranger plates. The quality is like all of TAG's gear... You could tow an MRAP with these. If you get hung up by this pouch going out the door of a C-130, the jumpmaster will have better luck securing you to the side of the aircraft and landing with you than cutting your equipment loose. You get the picture.
