The Axelson Nickel Boron (NiB) Bolt Carrier Group (BCG) is made for shooters interested in either building high-quality rifles or improving existing firearms. If the BCG is the heart of the rifle, installing an NiB BCG turns your rifle into a marathon runner. NiB is applied using an autocatalytic coating process resulting in a finish far more resistant to rust and corrosion than the phosphate finish used on standard BCGs. One of the most significant benefits of NiB is its dry lubricity: BCGs with a NiB finish do not require lube like other BCGs do and also function for greater lengths of time without being cleaned. In addition to being NiB coated, this BCG has been heat-treated, shot-peened per MIL-SPEC requirements. It has also been MPI tested.
