Great piece of kit with stellar service to back it up!

I am 6'0", 185 lb and the S/M is barely large enough for my torso without plates installed. I found the shoulder straps, however, a hair long if you don't have armor in it to bulk it out. The hook and loop keepers on the shoulder straps are right up to the front bib until I put plates in it. I can tighten the straps plenty more, but the keepers are sewn in and too far forward. I'd like to see the keepers separate and/or shoulder pads sold as an option. The front plate pouch will carry a 10"x12" shooter's cut plate and the rear will accommodate a 10"x12" rectangular plate. The plates are slid into place from the bottom with a hook and loop strap to hold them into the heavy mesh pockets. If you choose a shorter plate, the hook and loop can be adjusted to hold the plate up as high as you can get it in the pocket. Additionally, the front bib features a fully Velcro'ed top access pocket. It appears an older version featured several mag pouches, perhaps. The current issue is just a massive pocket so it sits completely flat if you do not use it. The cummerbund features full MOLLE webbing inside and out with shock cord and a cord lock at the rear to adjust tension and massive Velcro attachment pads connected via stretchy material at the front to attach under the bib. My only beef with the vest is that when the cummerbund is attached evenly to the Velcro behind the bib (the front of the vest) such that the MOLLE webbing appears even and level all the way around the vest, it appears that the front half of the vest sits a bit low compared to the rear half of the vest. I keep wanting to stagger the front up a bit as the vest does not seem to cover the top of my torso well enough for my liking. With the way these style vests are made, it is difficult to stagger the 'ride height' between the front and back easily. As a final note, the side plate carrier pouches (which can be removed) measure 5.5"x5.5"x1.5" with Velcro closure and two MOLLE straps.

Great carrier!

This plate carrier is the best armor product I've worn; it is incredibly comfortable and well made. I do not use side plates, so the included pouches simply make for excellent multi-purpose pouches. The hook-pile tape (or velcro, if you prefer)at the front is incredibly strong, making it so secure it's almost a bit intimidating. All in all, this carrier is very easily adjustable, does not bounce during rapid movement, and does everything a plate carrier should. Thanks TAG!

240B GUNNER/M203 DISMOUNT

I use this rig in Afghanistan. It is a thousand times better than the IBA, and better than the IOTV as well. I like the way the plates can easily be made to sit up high or lowered, depending on my mission. If you have unit SOPs (most of us do)that require you to carry certain items (like an IFAK) in specific locations, then you will have to get the side plate carriers, too. Adjusting or readjusting the waist size/tightness is too easy, and the gear stays in place once you set it (unlike my old issue armor that had to be readjusted every few days to stay snug). One drawback: Our issue side plates are too big for the side plate carriers, so don't expect to actually wear your side plates. But this rig was definitely worth what I paid for it.
