this plate carrier is great, not too short, fits my ESAPI plates, and has plenty of room for all the pouches i need. great overall

I deployed with this carrier to Afganistan in 2010. The issued tac vest that I was given was lacking mag space and storage for vital gear. This carrier had the base that I needed to do my job. I have nothing bad to about this carrier and will use it for all my future deployments till it falls apart!

This is a great rig! I have had mine going on three years now. It has tons of real estate and it is easy to get on and off. I found that tying some 550 cord on the flap tabs is a must though. It fits and adjusts like a dream. It is super tough and has stood up to a lot of use. Although the elastic on the sides is showing wear from rubbing on the hook velcro, it is still holding together fine.I have only one issue: The side plate pockets should adjust to hold larger plates. Standard issue side ESAPI plates are 7"x8" and will not fit, unlike the smaller SOCOM available plates. I highly recommend this plate carrier.

I Have used this kit, during mounted, dismounted, and air assault missions. It works great fits well, is comfortable, can load out alot of gear on it, the only reason it didnt get 5 stars is sometimes the hook pile sides flaps can be a pain to deal with when side plates are in and pouches on the outside
