Not good field boots

I bought these boots to test them out while I was at JRTC in Ft. Polk, LA. I spent 30 days there testing these boots out. My goal was to see if these boots will be a good fit on my upcoming deployment. Sadly these boots did not pass the test. Here are the pro's and con's of the boot. Pro: Light weight. Comfortable (even under weight, with wearing IBA with plates, with full combat load for 8 hours a day they stayed very comfortable. Even when walking or running.) Good grip on sand, dirt, rocks etc... Good airflow. Drys out quickly when wet. No break in needed Cons: Sole seperation, that occured in the first week. Not enough hard rubber. It is hard for me to explain, the threads are is hard rubber then there is this soft foam cushion. Just based on the wear i got from 30 days once that hard rubber is gone the boot will be useless. Boot does not seem rugged enough for demanding envoriments. Summary: The boots are good for light duty work, on pavement. I find it hard to believe they will last on a deployment where the terrain is very rugged. And envoles putting a lot of weight on it. I would think it would start falling apart in around the 60 to 90 day mark in that sort of envoriment. If you are looking for a boot that is rugged, and could handle someone that wears full combat gear and load and moving through rough terrian, i would pass on these boots. But if you are looking for a boot for light duty work or hiking these boots maybe right for you. For me, i am going to look into different boots for my upcoming deployment or re-sole my old danners and wear those.

I bought these boots from TAG around a year ago, they were cheaper then. (by 20$) I have received a good set of these, and a set that was sewn horrible. The soles fall off.
