I have this on the left side of my plate carrier. It's a very well made product, although just like the 6 mag shingle, I'm not happy with the bungee system. I'd rather have it adjustable. Besides the, the magnets are a fantastic idea, and are incredibly strong. There is no need for any flaps, snaps, anything with these magnets. They're even strong enough to hold a fully loaded 15rnd Beretta mag on the OUTSIDE, simply from the strength of the magnet. I wouldn't ever use it like that, of course, unless you're on some kind of competition stage and need fast reloads without worry of loosing mags. But in the real world, the pistol mags will never come out, yet make it fast and easy to remove when needed.

The front of my Gladiator chest rig is equipped with two of these, one a triple, the other a single. The retention band is MUCH stronger than any others I've seen, and it is sewn in rather than tied off. If you happen to want to try these out with Magpul baseplates (forget what they're called), be advised that it'll be REAL tight. The pistol mag pouch on the front is expandable and contains quite strong magnets. Since it is an expanding pouch for double or single stack magazines, it is a bit loose on the single stacks. Not floppy loose, just not ridiculously tight. Even with 10 round single stack 1911 magazines, I can jump up and down repeatedly and they will not unseat. Love em.
