All in all this is a good pouch, made with the usual quality materials and stitching. However, I also use this as a compass pouch, and it is slightly over large for the compass. As a result, the silent lid closure (consisting of a nylon tab on elastic webbing which slips over a plastic reinforced tab on the pouch) does not necessarily remain completely closed. The pouch is large enough that I'm not worried about my compass falling out and dangling, but it can be a bit quirky. Since the compass is tied off, it's a non-issue, but it's still something to be aware of if you intend to use anything other than an eTrex in it. My eTrex, which is in another identical pouch, fits it and snugs the closure perfectly. In summary, it works exactly as advertised.
