ENFORCEMENT OFFICER/DESIGNER
Michael Wratten of Shellback Tactical, has 12 years of law enforcement experience and is still an active police officer. He comes from a law enforcement family and is a second generation police officer. His law enforcement experience has been with two agencies. Michael spent 6 ½ years with the Los Angeles police department. During his time at LAPD he worked several units. Michael worked under cover plain clothes narcotics units, patrol, LAPD SES gang unit, and juvenile detectives. After leaving LAPD in 2002 he went on to work for the West Covina Police Department where he still currently works. Michael has been involved in the tactical industry with Shellback Tactical and Bullet 50 over the last 6 years. Michael is also an inventor and has developed his own tactical products and assisted with the development of other tactical products that are currently being used today. Michael draws much of his tactical gear design and development from his time in the industry and his experience as an active police officeer where he is able to see first hand what type of tactical gear the law enforcement, military operator and operator in general needs. Michael strives to develop and bring new ideas and tactical gear innovations to the tactical marketplace. Michael has been involved with the design and production of nylon tactical gear, tactical apparel and military/police weapon system accessories. Michael is an expert on tactical gear in general and their practical uses.
